Felted Easter Egg Workshop

Introduction of Cyanotype ( Making prints with light )

Bridging the world of photography and printmaking, the cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic methods.
Cyanotype is a photographic process that yields striking blue and white prints. Think arty blueprints!
Everything from photographic negatives to actual objects can be used to produce prints. so they can take the look of photographs or appear more like X-rays or shadows depending on what is used to make them.
Intro Screen Printing Workshop

No Experience necessary! Great for beginners!
Learn the basics of how to screen print. Each participant has their choice from pre made designs to print their own shirt to take home.
We’ll cover the basics of screen printing.
You'll see how to coat and expose a screen, review types of images appropriate for screen printing, learn about proper setup, and clean up.
First shirt or is complementary $6 for each additional shirt.
If you sign up for 2 people at once you will get discount!
Tintype Photography Workshop

Using the wet plate collodion process, one of the earliest forms of photography, students in this beginner-level workshop are offered a simplified yet hands-on experience making one-of-a-kind tintypes (direct positives on an aluminum sheet) using large format, 4x5 cameras. Among other techniques, participants will learn the basics of this 19th-century process including how to pour and sensitize collodion, properly expose and develop plates, and apply a protective varnish.
All chemistry, media, and cameras will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment if you have it. Please bring aprons or wear old clothing (materials are not overly toxic but can easily stain clothing).

Using black and white enlargers with CMY filters we will produce color prints in the darkroom.
We will process the prints using jobo tanks and a jobo processor. We will also cover the mixing of the RA-4 chemistry used to make color prints.
We will start off working as a group and if time permits you will be able make a print from your own negatives. so bring some negatives with you if you would like!
B&W 35mm Film Photography Workshop
May 25th (Sat) 10-4pm

Great for the begginer photographer!
You will learn how to use camera, how to develop 35mm film in the darkroom and how to print on the paper!
Includes B&W 35mm film,3 sheets of paper, and chemistry.
You should bring your own camera, but we have rentals if you need one.
Second Saturdays Open Studio!
Are you interested in using our studio?
The studio is free to use Every 2nd Saturday!
You will have to take a studio safety course before we let you loose, safety first!
The Studio safety course ($15) is a basic studio safety class required for memberships or daily studio use.
The class fee will be applied to the price of a membership or daily use if you decide to go that route later.
The safety class only needs to be taken once.
The safety class will giving at 10:30AM on the same day or by Appointment.
